Hello, I figured I’d give everyone an update on how the new tune is working.

I haven’t gotten many tanks through it yet due to a clutch failure at the beginning of March, so I’ve been driving a 3406E Cat up until beginning of april.

The truck was due for a license sticker renewal and required a E-test.

Turns out the truck actually passed E-test better than the 550 tune with the egr on.

The 575 tune With no egr is a little better on fuel and cleaner burning.

So a win win all around.

I’m happy and am especially happy with the 575 file over the 550.

The tuning guy did a great job and my boss is extremely pleased, said it was worth the expense.

Also, so far, I’ve not seen a single engine light coming on and derating the power.

This is now a real C15 Cat as it should’ve been.

Good job driver c15 is the best engine ever made i say for a c15 in the low range shift at 1000 first shift and add 100 rpm each shift till the high range once in the high range shift between 1350 and 1500 CATS LOVE LOWER RPM.

Had an 07 Pete with the MXS ACERT. Running 80k, never lugged it, meaning didnt let it go below 1200 to upshift, 70-75 mph most of the time, averaged 6.1. Made 475 at 1800, 1850 torque with a lil 10 speed and 3.55 rears. Ran down the road at 1475 to right about 1550 rpm. That's just my experience.

Yep. Solid lil setup. Would have preferred a 13, but.

I like the 15 myself just depends on the work. the stuff me and my dad do makes me want a 15 speed he can getter moving but once you get to the high range having 10 gears instead of 8 would be nice same for a 18 but this truck we run has a 13 and it doesnt do bad at all man those ol cats pull D amn hard

You to ehh lol aint nothin like a CAT and i doubt we will ever see another engine as good which is sad and brings a tear to my eye to know someday we will be looking at 2019 rigs and calling them classics what do we really have to look forward to in 60 years in the trucking industy glad by then ill be in my 70s and retired if i aint dead lol guess we will just stock up on cats and keep rebuilding em thats what i plan to do buy a few rigs then just buy a few engines so when the other engines are just plain dead and the block cant be used i will still have good ol engines its expensive but i will at least have nice rigs. Yes i know that sounds crazy but i figure it would work lol

Its nice to talk with guys who dont wana bs and have a true appreciation of the wonder that is Cat engines and not some dpf,def choked off junker truck lovers. If we all hold together we might can hold our CAT engines together which aint to hard as long as people dont tell you to run them in high rpm thats just dumb i mean come on 1800rpm youve lost most of your torque already. CAT ENGINES FOR LIFE CAUSE THEY LAST A LIFE TIME.
