As big of a POS that it is, yes I'm sure that's spot on. To compare, I averaged 7.4 with a Detroit powered Volvo midroof tractor pulling a 7 car with often heavy and tall loads.

What Terry said. A F'Liner M2 or a nice Volvo pulling a Sun Country 5 car should do better then 8. I was at 9.1 and I hauled a lot of flat deck heavy stuff 50% of the time. JMHO

what are the odds .... was just viewing a thread on another forum talking about how the volvos with the dd15 are giant pos's !!! ... i don't care either way but it just goes to show everyone's experiences are different. 7 mpg would be fine with me though.

Talking about 2 different engines here. The DD15 is the newer emissions engine found in alot of trucks 2010ish to now. The 12.7 Detroit is pre egr and probably the best all around engine ever made. There is a reason they are still putting them in brand new gliders

i apologize ... the thread was relating to the d13 engine (post from 2011 & not sure what the displacement of that engine is) .... but as stated, all will have their own preferences/experiences with any/all engines/transmissions/brands. i'm sure i'd fend just fine with any class 8 single axle + good maintenance & a good mechanic.

Hey what's the wheelbase on this truck. I'm looking for a single axle truck to pair with either a sun country 5 or a infinity 5/6
