So they did that load for roughly 1.50 a mile if my math is right? Wow that is terrible!

Meh..If it stays that way for reddove she can always "take it somewhere else". Main thing right now for those starting out is keep the ol' license as spotless as one can and get all (as she is doing) the flatbedding experience one can with at least some money coming in. In my short tenure there at Wylie I ran into more than a few "company" drivers who loved it there..WTH? Good for them..:)

I do wish though I knew what the blueish-green waterpipe paid per mile to haul.Gawd they loved hauling that out of Fargo while I was there....

I thought though I saw on a Wylie ad "they" pay .40 a mile? Maybe would be better off going that..er...um..."route". :)

04/11/14:Murphy's law. I got a load of metal pipe. BBBBBButtttt...The employees loading the trailer ended up ripping off 10 feet of the rub rail. This couldn't of happened at a worse time at the weekend. I took pictures and made phone calls. Fleet net response was good. The rub rail had to be welded back on which was done saturday. Since I ran out of hours friday night and had to do my ten hour break at the customer. I can tell right now that the weekends is the worst time to have any drama. Everyone is non existent. They have DM's and people on call for the weekends but expect to leave a lot of messages. The best way to talk to somebody is through the truck's computer email. I found out from the shipper that I have to wait until monday and get a new appointment. So I'm sitting at the pilot in Hayti, MO. I'm going to ask if I'm going to get break down and detention pay for this. I also noticed on my pay settlement that my tarp pay was missing. I'm going to get that straighten out.
Pay: I'll have to ask about the empty miles. I'm going to be Texas regional so I don't think I'm going to have a whole bunch of empty miles. They are still working on trying to get me home. Sheesh! I have all my supplies, cooking stuff, food, at home. I'm not going to buy stuff out here that I have at home. They told me I'm going to be home "sometime next week". I talked to other flat bed drivers and they said it's hard getting loads out of san antonio texas and that's why they are taking so long getting me back home. Lucky there was a WALMART near the shipper. I was stuck to getting food stuff that didn't need to be refrigerated and can be heated up in a microwave. All my money is going to bills. I won't start getting into the "green line" until next check or even the first check in May. Getting paid every two weeks just don't work in truck driving in my opinion especially when you're just starting out. Any way, I'll see what happens monday before I pull the claws out. I hope this is just a bump and not a sign of things to come.

I started out as Regional with them. I actually had more home time (every other weekend) when running OTR with them. Good luck making it work, I would not trust Angie any further than I could throw that truck.
