I drove for ECKLUND for about 2 yrs. Dispatch constantly pushed me outside DOT hrs. of service regs. They held me out of schedualed home time for 1 to 3 weeks consistently. When I finally refused to any longer violate hrs. of service regs. they made up a bogus reason to fire me. Nice people if running outlaw
is what you like to do. Lots of miles, lots of smiles and loads of deception.

You should of gathered evidence and filed an OSHA complaint. That's how driver's are suppose to fight back.
What's the tortuga? Dry Tortugas? -
Did not know that there was anything I could do, legally that is. Had I known I would have filed a complaint. I am retired at this time and the main reason is the contemptous manner that all the companies treated me. I have a dog and I would not dream of treating him the trucking companies treat drivers. Inhuman. Yes, regarding the Dry Tortugas. Great fishing, diving and Kokomoing.

just thought I would hop on with a quick update. Just got to my stop in mn 14 hours early. 380 miles today hoping for better tomorrow if I can get unloaded early.
-
I ended up getting unloaded this morning and had my next load before I was empty. Picking up a load of salt in savage mn now headed to Oshkosh wi. Only 10 miles from home I think my 10 tonight will be at the house unless I get unloaded quick and snag another load
-
Well I got back to the yard and took about 12 hours at home last night then made it to my drop about 45 minutes early this morning. Got unloaded and headed south. Picked up a load in Sussex, WI taking it to the post office in Columbus, OH. Just got stopped for the night about 30 miles shy of Columbus sitting in the McDonalds parking lot because the truckstops were all full by the time I got here. Have a backhaul picking up tomorrow afternoon with 2 stops in Illinois, I forget what they are. About 560 miles today, finally a half way decent day of running. Hope I get a few more like this then get home early Friday so I can head to deer camp for opening weekend.
-
If you are home to hunt on Friday, I will be real surprised.
-
We will see. I'm sitting just outside of Chicago tonight with a 6am delivery in town, then we'll see what the plan is for the rest of tomorrow. Picked up in Groveport OH this morning. Another short day so I could use another day or two with good miles but an early trip to the house would be ok too. I have some work to do before winter and need to get ready for hunting.

Unless Lana has had a vast reduction of her GREED she will have her no class boy, Keary, keep you out till you will just about have to threaten to quit
to get home. I was on the 11 day schedual and I was out 18 to 28 days most of the time. Then they started cutting into my earned time off. I do hope they have changed. I doubt that they can. Is Rob still in dispatch? He was safety director when I started. They moved him to dispatch and brought in Keary about a year later. That's when they started pushing drivers out of DOT REGS. and extending time out off the agreed on schedual. Rob, former safety director, was the one who pushed me to go of DOT REGS. the last time in May 2012. I refused. He persisted. I refused. He kept it up till I finally told him that if he had a problem he needed to call the DOT and hung up on his two faced ###. I say two faced because in indoctrination when he was
safety director he was emphatic that they wanted the drivers to ALWAYS RUN LEGAL. Then goes to dispatch and pushes drivers out of DOT REGS.
He is a back stabbing two faced hypocrite. Keary is simply a born no class loser. If it was not for Lana he and his family would probably be on food stamps. They fired me shortly after I had to tell Rob to call the DOT with his problem and hung-up on him. Only other thing I could do was run outlaw and
I was all done with that. Rob is a house mouse. His nose is up Lana's ### so far he needs a snorkle to breath. Do not trust them, EVER. -
You seem pretty bitter Tortugatommie..
Ecklund doesnt sound any different from any other company i've worked for. Some truckers work, and some piss around and dont accomplish much during the week.
I'm the type that runs like the wind if i feel good. Like last night, Left Mass, And ran all the way to Fon Du Lac to my delivery point. Nobody "pushed" me to do it.. My appointment wasnt till 5:30 p.m TONIGHT. Yet i was backed in @ 5:30 a.m this morning. by the time i had my check in call @ 8 a.m. i was unloaded and heading to the yard already.
I don't do it all the time, But sometimes it just works out that way. I make dispatches job easier. They in return, Will do what's necessary to keep me happy
