There are thousands of brokers out there that aren't demanding your first born. If you have a small fleet; why don't you get some sales efforts going? Screw these brokers. They're a losing game, my friend.
ELD rec. for a small fleet in leu of Highway's new rule?

I would rather them track my ELD really, rather than my phone. I don't want to pay for the data for them to benefit from its use. I also hate the stupid texts demanding that I download their app, too. I didn't give them my dang number. I can tell ya what, if they got a TCPA class action, they'd stop that real quick like.

Same thing I tell my uncle. But, he only has a dually and a 40 foot goose neck so he is kind of screwed I guess.

They’re demanding these trucks to be more and more autonomous. The driver has less and less actual authority over what happens. I’m betting sooner than later all they’ll need is maybe a local driver to go to a truckstop to drive a truck the final few miles to some of the destinations or something like that. They need someone to blame if something goes wrong.CorsairFanboy, Iamoverit and 86scotty Thank this.

What specifically do you do to avoid the big brokerages who are doing this?
I’m open to sales tips, that’s why I’m reaching to other truckers.
This morning again couldn’t book with KCH and Pinnace due to the Highway. -
Booked a van load with JBHunt today. I log in on Carrier 360 to assign a driver, and they also are showing an "ELD identifier missing" error, which hasnt been there for the past few years. There's a shift that's happening.
Here is Highways privacy policy for the ELD integration. They say "we don't collect, share, sell, etc." but i don't believe it very much. And it says this privacy policy is active Nov 1st, so who knows what they were doing up to this point.

When they all start having trouble moving their freight due to this policy, perhaps they'll lighten up. As long as the sheep don't flock and give in.Big Road Skateboard, Iamoverit, Deere hunter and 1 other person Thank this.

The problem is all the big fleets will do it. They love anything like this that weeds out the competition.NorthEastTrucker, TheLoadOut and Deere hunter Thank this.

Not mine, and that includes the Department of Defense.TheLoadOut Thanks this.
