It's not overrated at all; just depends on each persons situation. I haven't driven a truck in over 4 years and officially retired last September by letting my CDL expire. I don't even have a car license now and that's by choice. I use my electric scooter that's legal on roadways and runs 45. It's amazing how much discretionary money you have when don't have car expenses. I'll probably buy an Elio car though because it gets 84 mph and only costs a little over $8K brand new.
