YRC and Regionals( Holland) combined profit for Q2 57milllion profit. First time in years. New equipment is coming been seeing it at my company last year and couple months. Takes time. If this keeps up in 3.5 yrs when the contract gets re upped Holland and YRC network could end up being a gold mine of a job. Big raise! Just FYI.

I don't know of a single driver who works 40 hrs out of that terminal unless you are calling off using sick days that week..right now its mandatory 10 hrs per day, but even with 200'ish drivers if you want hours you can get as many as you can stomach, overtime after 8 hrs.

I would look at ups freight or abf, companies that have top pay rates..Holland equipment has improved a lot and they've done a lot of overdue maintenance etc with the employees 15% giveback but with the pay as it is with the 25% pension and the amount of debt yrc has, Holland isn't the best..not the worst by far either.

Working city, you will start out as 10%...first to go and worst shift.

Linehaul...will probably be in a sterling or international. You do work the dock by yourself when dropping freight at a dark terminal.

Doubles are pulled by bid drivers on the turnpike.

New tractors are assigned by seniority.

Pension...work 4 years to get 1 and central states is trying to reduce it more.

I have not seen the new master agreement. They offered proffit sharing in the contract....alrhough they are spending the money.

BTW...Holland is leasing some of their terminals from Estes.

    Good luck.

    sedain Thanks this.
