I'm plated for 94k so I can't help you there. I can axle 98k so I should probably raise my plates next year. If you were just passing through on 63 it wouldn't be too big of a deal to just jump over on 17 and get back onto 63 in West plains if your south bound or just run 17 into 63 if your northbound.

I'm a big proponent of brains over braun. I'd rather be the one they never see than the one they haven't managed to catch.

You can take 181 and circle around them no big deal but if you are 99 percent there isn't a chase car there why take that crooked 17 brains over Braun I guess

5 down to 160 and out at west plains is the best way, not that I cut my teeth there or anything

I did the same in North Texas several years ago. I had used the tollways around Dallas several times without a tolltag, then went outside USA for several months. My mother was getting my mail and doing a poor job of screening it.

By the time I got back to USA and Mom's house, I owed North Texas Tollway Authority about $110 in tolls and well over $700 in late charges.

Yep did it in Nevada once; pulled over; then turned around and went back thru before they chased me down: the officer came out and thanked me for doing that; then told me he didn’t feel like going on a chase... lol:)

You will have to be in dreamland, blind or stupid to blow by a coop after three miles advanced signage and warnings. You have a thousand sources ranging from the internet to the Rand Motor Carrier atlas map with big dots showing scale locations etc.

Anyone blow the coop, get run down and lassoed for a ticket? ah well, they deserve it. No tears for them.

Now there are a couple old style scale houses badly built where you come off 75 to 15 or less in a amount of space barely sufficient to heavy braking down to 15 in time before you reach that sign and then come off it to drift onto the platform in order. Ive pounded the thing at 30 a few times and gotten yelled at for it and maybe detained a hour or more of busy work hoping there is a few other things to write me up on totally destroying the schedule for the day. They do enough damage as it is.

There is one thing I always do 2 miles from any coop. Reduce speed and put the truck into a working hard with a awful lot of weight behavior. Everyone else blows by me, pulls right lines up onto shoulder. I come along get the bypass scale light or closed sign and then clean it up and roll by at the speed limit. I always try to fill a scale house before I get there.

I dunno, I've dutifully pulled into a scale only to watch 3-5 trucks rocket past me. And it's not like they changed the sign, because other trucks were still pulling in.

Multiple times. When the scale is 47 trucks deep and the right lane is jammed up a mile down the highway I’ll just hit the hammer lane. I’m good on getting rear ended by another truck or some idiot in a car and killing himself.

Never been chased down and there has always been 3+ trucks in the hammer lane with me. It is what it is, I don’t feel bad for skipping the DOT extortion line.
