Not over the road, but I deliver food, and its really easy to stop at Wendys during my normal 12 hr shift. However, after losing my father in 2006 I went on a regiment and dropped from 409 to 260 with a year. Got divorced, met the new lady (who I married 3 years later) and stopped working out. Ballooned back up to about 380 which is where I sit today. I was over 400 back in May but have just been eating better. Started a new regimine with no gym membership as I am the only income we have right now and it is just too #### expensive. Regimine is body weight movements, as well as long drawn out walks. Thank God for Lake Hartwell so there is plenty to do. Normal walk is about 2 miles. Park my car walk to the boat dock and back. The back is the worst part, uphill most of the way. No workout per se tomorrow though, I have to help a friend move, should be all the workout I need since we are filling two of the big Uhauls by hand.

This is a thread I have been looking for. I am about to start my otr career really soon. and the one thing thats been plaguing my mind is, how am i going to stay in shape.

but in my prime years when i had a fast metabolism I weighed 185, and maintained that weight through college and the army. and even after that i worked a very physical job setting up party supplies and tents and such.

now today i am teetering 230 235 mark @ 6'2. I have planned a workout regiment and all who are interested can do this too.
simple workouts depending on what you want to accomplish.

30 minutes of cardio a day is suggested long walk or light jog, even a run for 15 minutes will suffice.
long walks up too or over 2 miles will burn just about 330 plus calories. if you weigh more you can expect to burn more.
about 30 mins of strength. push ups primarily, sit ups, pull ups, squats, jumping jacks and crunches do what you can and improve from there.
also check out a website called prisonworkouts.com google it first
those of you with smartphones can look up the app cardio trainer, thats what i use to keep a workout log

as for eating right, salad salad salad and fruits. and more greens with fiber. drink plenty of water as well
supplements that won't throw off your pee test like green tea abstract, L-Carnintine, caffeine, and other supplements that boost metabolism and they'll increase your energy too. consult your doctor and read up on supplements.

If anyone of you have experienced sore muscles like back aches, work it out or work out, drink water. gatorade has sugar in it too. energy drinks are bad, but i admit i drink them too. plenty of sleep, so when you are taking your 10 hour, spare an hour do these workouts. take your vitamins and supplements. alot people think, just because im here and i aint dead yet means you're doing alright. but think of your body as a machine. you need to keep it healthy so you can BE healthy.

what makes me an expert at this stuff? I have had a lot of free time and I study it, plus my best friend is a personal trainer, and he competes in various fighting activities like MMA, kick boxing, boxing, and etc etc. so he basically trains me. where I have fat around my mid section, if i workout two hours a day off duty i am sure to turn in into muscle. I realize i can't suck it in forever haha

also my old lady will kill me if i get any bigger.

I would like to know WHAT KIND OF HEROIN TYPE ADDICTIVE SUBSTANCE DOES P J's PUT IN THE GARLIC BUTTER? Just kidding. I enjoy a good PJ's pizza from time to time. but all things in moderation, that includes the heroin type garlic butter.

Calling the crap butter would be a blatant lie. Years ago I did cooking in restaurants. We used a product that came in gallon jugs called "Whirl" same junk they use at the buffets for crab legs.

WOW! Sorry to offend. I actually like it, and I know allot of people that like it. That does not mean EVERYONE has to like it.

I didn't get offended. I like the sauce, just know there can't be anything good in it. I love real butter. Fake crab, and Cool Whip are on my list of things I don't eat. I call it "stryro food." I think it is made from stryrofoam! LOL!

MSG is in just about all processed foods in varying amounts. "Low" amounts are called "natural flavors." Very addictive.

I read somewhere, cool whip has one ingredient that keeps it from actually being plastic...not sure how true that is, but...yeah, I agree!
