Well, I'm headed to one of the terminals we picked up in the latest 'coo' that started this week (Bristol, TN).

MMMMMMmmmmmmm. This hotel has a free breakfast buffet. Cool! I had biscuits & gravy, bacon, scrambled eggs, hash browns, bagel with cream cheese, & orange juice. Now it's time to crash. Will get plenty of sleep cuz dispatcher said I prolly wont get called til 9 pm.

Hey Squonk, have you been laid off at all since you got hired?

Yea he was, actually besides for skinny trucker we all were.

@squonk you would take advantage of the buffet... But so would I. I had sausage patty, and my low-carb protein waffle with some watermelon and pineapple.

How long do you think a typical lay-off is? A few weeks? Months? The union steward road testing me acted like a lay-off was pretty much guaranteed. I've never been laid-off in my life. When I had my interview, the manager said I could make $50,000 or more the first year as a pretty safe estimate. The website states that first year drivers can make up to $60,000. But my road tester didn't think so...any ideas based on your experience?
