They're using the old Yellow yard in San Bernardino? I thought they moved to the Roadway yard in Bloomington? I used to work out of 1500 W Rialto Ave San Bernardino, CA 92410. Is that the one they are using? The rail yard was right around the block. This is where I thought they moved to: 18298 Slover Ave Bloomington, CA 92316.
after my 150 turn i sat for a hour waiting, then did a brooklyn, after brooklyn I went to 157, nothing like taking 2.5 hours to go 50 miles!!! stupid traffic. For a country that has NO jobs, no money, and no employment sure does have a ton of traffic
First day in the books. Night turn to Louisville, then a turn to Decatur Illinois...568 miles, 2 clock hours...15 hours total and back in at 9pm tonight to do it all again. I think it'll take a week for me recover! This new guy wasn't ready for a first day like that.
Not real sure. I think they moved out of Bloomington last year. We run bids out of Chicago to San Bern every day but I've never run that bid.
LMAO! Hang in there dude. I still remember my first week, I got thrown to the wolves as well. Holy crap! lol It's all down hill from here on out, brotha, you'll see. Anywho, getting ready to do a turn (South Bend) like I requested on my t-card. Had to make sure I was back by 11 am Saturday (b-day party). Then, I think I'll run hard again starting Sunday. lol $$$.
Hahaha! It was like that for me when I first started too. It was even worse when they called me back from lay off! Hang in there man, you'll get used to it.
Hi guys, So this week had an interview at YRC, well not really,it was awkward. Let's begging, last week I called the terminal and got a hold of some lady in HR since I didn't get any response online or by phone regarding the status of my application, but then she managed to find it and set me up for an interview this week. went to the terminal and ask for the person she set me up to talk to, saw him and told him I was there to talk to him about the job posting, to his and my surprise he said he had no interview this week, he then ask me who set it up and I told him. well, looks like the lady I talked to is not longer there. he was helpful tho, and try to look for my application but couldn't find it. I had my resume in hand and other paper work handy, he said everything looks good but the thing the was missing was my hazmat, man I could have spent the extra money to get it back when I was in driving school, but money was thigh. he said it could set me back because of it and couldn't review it since there are short on staff. I ask if I can work on the dock since I also applied for that position, and he said I could and then transfer to P&D after getting my hazmat, I'll have to wait for a call from a guy that supervises that department next week.
