Oh, it gets better. The dispatcher here said should be no problem keeping me out. Am I gonna get a full week in? That hasn't happened in quite awhile.

They were $54 a month when I was at Yellow in 2007 if I remember right. I know it was 50 something a month. However all my benefits for my whole family were covered. YRC does that for us. I'm not in the union at Reddaway but they still cover the whole family free of charge.

    Think it's 52 a month.

just heard that terminal 111 has been completely destroyed by the hurricane. All the equipment is ruined. It was a huge wave that hit it.

Well back to work for just two days to help with the extra freight. I really don't even want to be here now, plus they put me in the worst straight truck we got and gave the guy below me my tractor. Oh well I'm just gonna spend the ENTIRE day only doing deliveries and won't make any pickups

Well, got back home from Nashville. Five day run total. That was sweet. Haven't been able to stay out that long in quite awhile. However, when I walked into the terminal & told dispatch I have 5 hours left, he said, "Umm, you need to talk to Phil" (manager). Was then informed I was laid off (soft). I signed up to work, road or dock, but, Phil said they laid off over 40 dock workers so will probably only be road. Oh well, like I've said before, I have been living well below my means now, so, no biggie.

Do you get to collect much unemployment? More than a couple weeks a year?

My lay off was a "soft" as well. Was supposed to be 2 weeks but is being longer! Think they brought you in because they needed more freight going around because of hurricane sandy. That's why they brought us back. Oh we'll just got off my break then back to the terminal then home to shower(hopefully powers on) then to my club to play Xbox, eat and watch tv

As long as there's money is in your pocket, that's all that matters. I could collect unemployment too but I'm already sick of being at home. I think working is more of an escape for me, not to mention I won't make near as much on unemployment as working. I'm also too greedy lol.
