The military reduces the cross country payload to half of the on road capacity.
Personally my F800 tractor is not any larger than a dually pickup but you can see a lot better out of it. Typically a two axle truck with dual rear tires will max out at around 36,000 lbs GVW.
Have you considered setting the 2500 gallon trailer up as a tender to refill the truck doing the spraying? This is providing that the truck has the capacity to tow it.
Another option is to split the load between the truck and a smaller trailer. When specking a trailer you need to make sure that the outside rails of the trailer are the same width, or a little bid wider, than the truck that is towing it. I have a small trailer that has not been used in a couple of years because it is not wide enough for me to see in the mirrors. I prefer to use the much larger equipment trailer. Also with trailers your drivers may benefit from some training. -
Finally got our water trailer:

Has the OP found a solution to his problem?
How exactly are you spraying this stuff? Through a boom?
I can chime in with better info tomorrow. Too late to do that tonight. I run agricultural sprayers and we've run all kinds of friggin setups, in all kinds of conditions. -
