The driver shortage exist but only for super fleets with 120% T/O. The small companies here in Dallas are well staffed with drivers and aren't looking.

If I have a heart attack and die in my sleep, my total medical bill is the ambulance ride to the morgue and the cost to bury me, which would have occurred anyway if I had died at 90. If I live to 90, I'm drawing 25 years of Social Security and racking up hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of bills for Medicare. The healthy people are the drain on society. The lard butt who eats too many twinkies or the three pack a day chain smoker that drops dead at 50 after paying into the system for 30 years, and collecting nothing, are an asset to the system, not a liability.

Then you've got 6 years to go. Better go find a deal on twinkies quick!

IMO, this is one of the most screwed-up outlooks on life I've read in any of these forums.

I'm simply doing the math. You may not like reality, but reality is, well, reality.

I certainly don't notice the trucker mags in the vending machines getting any slimmer, just a different set of company's advertising who didn't used to, and that isn't a good sign. On Craigslist I notice an increase in the ads for O/Os as opposed to company drivers - and on that note : Schilli - why would I drive YOUR truck for less when deadheading than when loaded? (40cpm loaded, 27cpm empty - good luck with that!).

BMI is a "discretionary" measure by the Examining Doctor,he can use the BMI to "trigger" other tests needed to pass a DOT physical,,I.E.,,stress test(heart),comprehensive blood screen(Diabetes)

I was at the time of my last physical 5'11 and 235,my DOT Doctor, issued a 90 day health card and in that time I was required to pass a 10 point stress test
