Passed by this yesterday and said there is no way that driver survived. Then I saw the officers with the blue tarp. As the wrecker was pulling on what was left of the truck.

 

If all vehicles were traveling with plenty of room around them and in front of them, do you think this would have happened?

Dude plowed into 5 stopped vehicles at full speed at a construction site. He's charged with 2 counts of vehicular homicide and is currently incarcerated.

 

Yep. Just read it. Must have been blatant distracted driving. Usually, we forget about these accidents and then a month or 2 later they make an arrest after a FORENSIC investigation. Also, I'm always a little surprised that not one vehicle sees the truck coming and says, "OH SH#@!" and dives for the shoulder or something. You would think by now everyone would be looking behind them when slowing down or stopped like that. I know I do.

Released from the hospital. What did he do? Hitchhike to Texas? Surprised he was allowed to leave the scene. But it sounded like mass chaos, those people trapped in that car for FIVE hours! Geez
