You know Buddy, many of us old guys still driving do it because we still enjoy driving a truck. It's not always about the money.

well, i cannot honestly say that as far as driving, that i ever "enjoyed it"

it was a job, and only a job for me.

i find more enjoyment at going to the shooting range, or the club, or reloading my ammo, than i ever had in my life, driving a truck, for a living.

    to each his own.

    kemosabi49 Thanks this.

Well, it's too bad you did something for 48 years and never liked it. Initially, I had a blast. I couldn't believe I got paid to do that. All my friends, it was an exciting job, in that, you never knew what was going to happen, it wasn't your normal job that not everyone could do. MY mistake, was after marriage, kids, house, it then too became "just a job", until my O/O shenanigans, that is, that added a new dimension to the job, but I can honestly say, I don't think anyone actually ENJOYS working, and we could all think of a hundred other things we'd like to be doing, but until the job literally changed, it was the only thing I wanted to do,,,for life and I did.
