@R.Hagar , were you pulling trailer 702902 this afternoon and took a break in Mississippi this afternoon? I saw the left (driver's) corner of the truck and thought I remembered seeing it posted on this forum. Walked between other trucks, so I didn't get the truck number but decided to look back at the trailer as I was walking to the building. When I got back outside, you (I think it was you) were gone. Good looking ride even if it was dirty.

Shoot, I as re-read that trailer number, it doesn't look right. Might have been 702907. Didn't write it down, tried to memorize it.

Anyway, just waving my hand at ya.

Update: I spent my 34 hour at home last week. Well maybe it was a 48 hour Got home Sunday night and loaded on Wednesday. It was an out and back to Nebraska and then I spent Friday night at home. I loaded a PA Saturday evening and delivered this morning. Today I have hung out in Bensalem while the Qualawash washes the tank, and I have an awesome paying load going to Iowa for 08:00 tomorrow.

The Bristol WI. QC yard/Qualawash is becoming my favorite place. Every time I deliver near Chicago, I drop the empty in Bristol to get washed and I go home - even if it's just for the night. I have noticed too: when we sit a day or two, it's near our home terminal. Like this Iowa I am going to take tomorrow, after delivery I will deadhead to Bristol Thursday morning, let them clean the tank while I am home. I could do the same at Joliet (My terminal with a Qualawash) but Bristol saves me an hour each way. Now come Thursday if I can just drop the dirty in Joliet and hook up to a clean trailer and go - then I will do that instead, so I can keep the money moving. You know what I mean? When I'm away at the Qualawash like today in PA. I will go have a nice dinner, go to movies, talk a walk around town, things like that, and enjoy the day. It's shot anyway, so I make the best of it.

So far this trip I have 2200 miles and the line haul is $3700 plus fuel surcharge which is like .12 per mile right now, but we get that on every mile dispatched - including deadhead. I get 62% of the line haul. So that's about $2500 to me with the fsc. And it has been a very relaxing week. I'll have $700 in expenses coming out plus $570 in fuel. Now my settlements are different because they go Friday to Thursday. I calculate my trips Monday to Sunday. It all averages out the same.

I seem to be averaging 2 trips per pay period and I am averaging $1500 a week after expenses and fuel and I have not had to work hard yet. Might have to get a Planet Fitness membership here soon. Lol

I have almost $400 in my detention bubble, or as my wife calls it the piggy bank. It shows my detention on my settlement, but we do not get it until QC gets paid on it. That's fair enough to me.

Three weeks in I really like it. It has a lot to do with my terminal is probably the greatest terminal, I don't have to rush anything, I'm getting adequate rest, and making a nice living.

When I wash the trailer they reimburseme me the next settlement, so I can't resist. My bumper should be getting installed soon, because it has arrived at DB Kustoms.

Keep real my friends, and ride easy.

Do QC make you all govern the truck speed?

For company corporate terminals I know I'm governed at 60-Pedal 65-Cruise. When I first started my truck did 69mph but things changed. :(

No they have a company wide speed limit of 65, but my dings me at 70. I normally roll at 63 to 65 loaded anyway. Then just mind my Ps and Qs empty

    #### - that would suck. Nothing left in the pedal to get out of trouble?

At my Affiliate, the trucks were governed at 65 when I started. (Company trucks) Ok, I can deal with that, but in the last month or so, they have lowered them to 62.
Tolerable when running in Oregon, Cali, and Wa., which are most of my trips, but head over to Idaho, Montana, Utah, etc. and it feels like you're crawling.

Western Sky, what affiliate are you based out of? I have talked to the people in Salt Lake City. Seemed like a good deal
