First Day No Call No Show

Equipment update:

“Fork Lift Driver Goes Ham”

Had a lady fork lift driver run her forks not only through my plate trailer wall right at the e track, but also clear through the door and then bent the hell out of the locking rod. She must have hit it wide freakin open. Then proceeded to sit on the fork lift and cry. My politically correct opinion is maybe she needs retrained on some other position in the company. lol

Ended up being almost $4000 in damage. Charged them for fixing the trailer, redoing decals on the back doors, and $500 transportation cost to get the trailer back home to a shop. Didn’t charge for loss of use or getting a rental or anything since I have some extra trailers.

Never a dull moment.

 

The operations manager confirmed over email they would pay for it. Already sent the estimates and he forwarded to corporate to cut us a check. Took pics, filled out an accident report, got names and numbers, etc. Just another day in trucking.

 

How the heck did she get that sideways in the first 4 feet of the trailer.

I feel like she got out of control and had her foot wide open on the throttle while simultaneously freezing up and just slammed it. Hopefully she was getting equal pay for equal work is all I care about. :eyeroll:
