    What's the warranty?
    1 year?
    Why not 5 years?
Rebuilt will never outlast a new motor.

There is absolutely no reason a proper reman engine won't last just as long as a new. Matter of fact I would bet a reman could even go longer.

My factory Detroit reman came with 3 year 300,000 warranty.

Most new manufacturer warrenty are the same. If you want 5 year 800,000 you have to buy it and it ain't cheep... all your doing is pre-paying for repairs in my opinion.

stwik, Oxbow and SAR Thank this.

I’ll bet most of the members on this site weren’t trucking in the 90’s like you, myself, and a handful of others.
This place is a new breed magnet.

Steel Dragon, x1Heavy and Oxbow Thank this.

    That's ok.

I don't expect to be around too many years. I remember my Uncle telling stories of his trucking time in the war years and the 50's and they sure don't much up too much to what I did and what the new generation is doing now.

I don't know what to think of them right now. All I can see is that there is so much they don't yet know. Maybe its not for me to teach if at all possible.

As far as Fitzgerald is concerned, if I ever want to buy a semi I will be going to Crossville to get it. If I am lucky I might even find a couple of my very favorite engine and transmission combos without restriction or governors.

Tall Mike and Steel Dragon Thank this.

Are you for real? There can be some legit arguments against a glider... But not in this post.

How do you know what the engine was subjected to?
Front end collision with a tree is definitely going to twist some parts.

The boss man ordered my new 389 glider from Fitz last week.
There is a bit of a wait for a 2ws yellow motor at present time..

Thanks to the big boss man and Fitz for extending my long haul career a bit further or until the eld exemption goes away.
