In the event that if you turn off your headlights and your daytime lights come on. My old international had daytimes and I pulled out the daytime running light fuse. Problem solved. Don't need them anyway...

    on\off guy here....

    I drive a 4wheeler.

When I see a truck trying to get over, like I said in another post, I slow down and let them over. I go on\off with my lights for a couple reasons. 1) To let them know I am planning for them to get over in front of me. 2) To let them know that not all people who drive 4wheelers are stupid, self-centered idiots that don't care about anyone other than themselves. 3) To let the truck know "you got a friend here". I learned this a long time ago when I was a kid with my dad (R.I.P) he was always very considerate and friendly to trucks on the road. I was told a long time ago it is ok to flash during the day and on\off at night, I don't want to blind anyone. For the few $%^#%^#$ truckers that are idiots ( and you know there are some, so don't flame me), there are 10 more that flash their lights back at me, one they are in my lane and settled in, I assume to say thank you slowing down and letting them over in front of me or letting them cutback in front of me so they don't miss a turn or exit.

If for no other reason it lets the truck know " I see you" :Trailer:

Its a courtesy! It does help in the fog and rain and occasional blizzard. For God's sake though DO NOT FLASH YOUR HIGHBEAMS!!!! This just makes it worse by blinding the other driver! I can't for the life of me understand why drivers do this!!! Knock it off!!! If you can't shut your lights off completely then don't do it at all!

and stop riding in the center lane when there's three lanes!!!! For you newbies and also ignorant drivers THIS IS THE HAMMER LANE FOR TRUCKS!!!!

    Chompi rant over....

You pass a lot in the fog and blizzards ? Have you read the post about it being illegal to turn your lights off while driving at night ? Ever think what effect that might have on someone coming up close behind you ? (Like a bear ?:biggrin_25523:).
If I'm pulling a loaded tanker running the speed limit on roads that don't have significant grades I don't care who gets irritated . I'm running in the center to avoid surge caused by slowing for vehicles exiting or entering at ramps .

if your seat belt is working properly, then you will have movement(forward and back).when you hit the brakes or impact something, the counter balancer offsets so it locks.unless of course you are so LARGE around the middle you have the belt extened all the way out and there is no more room to move.my dear old dead dad had this problem in the end.he actually had to buy a seat belt extender.and besides that...i can reach the dash(all controls)belted in and barely leaning forward.you got "T-REX" snydrome????

Seriously, if a couple flashes from someone's highs bothers you that much then why the dick do you drive at night. Have you ever been through a construction zone at night where there #### spot lights are shining right at you? That's 10 times worse! The #### Oregon highway patrol red and blues are worse (especially in the rain)!.
