    Pfft! I'm above everything ;)

Nah, I'm definitely being talked into going through the effort of doing so. :)

I noticed on some videos I watched that they do it just as much in Europe. Considering that European trucks use convex glass even on the primary mirrors which distorts depth perception, it would be really helpful in those circumstances.

I wish more trucks had the quick headlamp interrupt switch on the steering wheel that Volvos and Internationals have. Makes flashing a snap.

The cascadia has it too. It was the coolest thing ever when i went from columbia to cascadia no more reaching to the dash to cut the markers.

I do it to be courteous and for safety reasons. How many times I have seen the impatient 4 wheeler start to make his move on the right at the exact moment that truck is coming over. Usually when I see a tailgaiting 4 wheeler when a truck is passing me, I will actually wave him over slightly sooner than I normally would so he can at least make his intentions known to that 4 wheeler before that space opens up where the 4 wheeler can squeeze between us. I then will let up on the throttle to open up that space cushion even more.

I also do this when I see the impatient super trucker baring down on the truck passing me. While I am confident he won't try to jump over and pass on the right, I sure don't want to be there if somebody's steer tire decides to blow out at that exact moment, so I want them pass me ASAP

common courtsey, and i agree with other don't flash your brights, bright light in the mirrors, never a good thing, it doesn't take that long to reach down and flick the headlight switch off / on.

I did a while back when this truck wouldn't move over after passing another truck. Turns out he was on his phone.
