I was told that the personal conveyance rule will now allow you to use it even if your NOT unladen.
Is there any truth to this? -

This is great news. I can't tell you how many fights I've had with receivers and shippers who kept me forever loading or unloading and when I ran out of HOS, they then say "well you can't sleep here."
Thank God. Now I can just drive until I find a rest spot. Works for me. They had no incentive to get done with us quickly anyway, at least this way I don't have to battle with them.Last edited: Jun 21, 2018

Luckily on the east coast there is a McDonald's just down the road with plenty of parking at 23:00. At least that's what shippers all seem to tell me.
Bean Jr. Thanks this.
