    I understand wanting to maximize your time. But I stopped early in Moab Utah 2 days ago just to enjoy the rocks and arches. Incredible. Before that I stopped in Vaughn, NM just to photograph old abandoned buildings that trip me out. Just to get out of the truck and live a little. I didn't earn while the wheels didn't turn. But I don't regret it. There's more to life than earning the absolute most you can 100% of the time. I hope you slow it down and live life too.

    i get paid by the hour before i left trucking my final 3 years were by the hour i prefer hourly pay but at the end of the day mileage at ltl companies pays more period you can run hard and make 100k a year

    I have yet to see a company driver make 100k a year and on elogs not happening.

    Not necessarily. At our outfit the city guys at top scale as a general rule do better than the linehaul guys.

    Our best paying linehaul run equals 12 hours at top scale. It's just over .50 a mile.
