Freight Rates Dropping for O/O's?

    I have had luck the second half of this week with short huals. 250-300 miles $1100-1450 avg for three loads booked. Nothing crazy but it’s nice working under 12 hours a day.

    Downside if they are tarp loads then forget that.

    If your going to a good pay lane or high volumn area they like to cut the rate bigtime. I dont play there game i wont pull it i take their name and number put it in my ph book. They ever call me its payback time i have no mercy.

    Mid America owed me 250 for LAYOVER they never paid until last week took 3 months. They called me on a load for 2400 on 800mi . Told them no, were way off i was in a high volumn lane. He asked what it would take i said 3000. His reply sorry to much hung up i drove 3mi he called me back gave me 3000. I got my 250 plus more. Took them off my sh***t list.

    So so week, $2.41 a mile net... Short haul, 1860 miles, 53 hours on the elog. My little dedicated run ended without warning. It was a good week considering. I am leased to a carrier.
