Looks like the Turbo Compounding engine you are referring to. Too bad only available up to 455hp.
Dealer says they are offering a high torque version D13 with 1950lb-ft, because Volvo/Mack are losing out on the heavy haul market, I assume at 500hp, and they have one on demo. I can’t find anything online on that though.

Judging by all the trucks that tailgate me in Ontario because I’m only doing 101 in a 90 I’d say most companies are clueless about fuel or getting huge surcharge which we all know Loblaws won’t pay lol

When your only paying your student visa driver .09/mi you can afford to let them speed a little

Loblaws is one of the worst companies in Canada. When I was in business I would get a lot of new food mfrs. come to me for packaging supplies. Loblaws would give them a small order. The next week Loblaws would increase the size of the order. This would go on for weeks. The poor guy would get all excited. Hired another person. Invested in some new equipment. By now he's dropped some smaller customers. The next week the Loblaws buyer tells him the price is too high. A month later Loblaws wants further discounts. The mfr. lowers the price until he has given away all the profits. When Loblaws cannot get further cuts they drop him and move on to another sucker. In an industry where 7 to 14 days is common they will take 60 days.

The FSC doesn't cover DEF or Idle/stop and go traffic. I'm glad to be done, watching all the guys who have to haul heavy/LCV/LTL more than just drop and hook, their profits shrink daily. Cost of Tires, Parts and Trucks is beyond insane. I thought it couldn't go any higher back in January, but this is something else. Being on the Operations side of the house now, the PO's and Invoices I see make my eyes water.

Yep, when I went through orientation there 12 years or so ago and the 97km/hr came up and of course we were all grumbling about that one guy says well at least we won't get speeding tickets. The orientation guru says we get plenty in the course of a year can you guess where? Coming into town.
