I used the Garmin 460 for a year or so and had no major issues with it. Unfortunately it got damaged and my wife got the dezl 560 for me for Christmas. I run the Ohio Turnpike on a dedicated run and get off at exit 215, same route everytime. I mostly run the GPS just to watch my time and for the traffic feature.
My problem with the 560 is that it tells me to get off at exit 209 and take back roads the rest of the way to my destination. Now I've been on the same run for over a year and I know the fastest route is to get off at exit 215. So I thought I would try a comparison and set up a borrowed 460 and ran the 560 at the same time. The 560 showed getting off at the 209 and a arrival time 10 minutes later than the 460 which had me getting off at the 215.
The next day I tried resetting the destination on the 560 after driving half way and then it had me get off at the 215 exit.
After using both the 460 and the 560 I would have to say the 460 is more accurate. And I have to say the 560 gives me cause for concern. I know I'll eventually get where I want to go with the 560, but I have no confidence that it's giving me the best route.

When I am on I 55 in Mississippi, my 560 wants me to use Hwy 51 that parallels I 55. There is also a 30 mile stretch of I 80 in eastern Nebraska, where I have to turn it off because it constantly tells me I'm not allowed on that road. I plan to replace it with the Rand Mcnally.

Well, you're used to disapointment already so when you get your Rand McNally nothing will change.

Check your vehicle settings and make sure you have the correct numberd for your truck in there. That can go a long ways to fixing these kind of issues.

Yep, make sure quickest route is selected over shortest route.

Yes. Usually works the best. The 560 and the 760 though will allow the user to compare routes however.

I do this now by going into tools/settings and making the change manually. having the choice from the get go would be nice.

I may have found the problem, it was set to avoid traffic. I changed the setting and ran the trip and it had me getting off at exit 215 which is where I exit.
