it goes a LONG way if you just sound like you know what the hell your doing! if you called me and sounded like you didn't have a clue I;d come up with every excuse I could to not work with you too.

Gears is right, is that simple. There are very few companies that require 6 months. I had only found 3 that wanted 6 months: (CRST) and one other small company, cant remember their name. A third company told me the same, but the agent was so desperate (it was a last minute) he got the main office to waive the policy! It turned out pretty good, got $325 to pick a 30,000 lb. conveyer belt about 10 miles from my house on friday afternoon and then deliver on saturday morning about 15 miles from from my house!

I would not be concerned about the 6 month requirement there are plenty of brokers that DONT require it.

The "bump" in the road I had was from Schneider who wouldn't use me because I wasn't a minority owned company and, I don't have a "Green Truck"......

Other than that..... call up the brokers and some give will you ridiculous loads say tarped lumber for $.90/m or like last week, two coils from Fontana to the Houston area for $.80/m..........

I asked why coils were that cheap and he told me that's the "running rate"....and a "great rate" to boot.......

That's a "No Thank You" and move on to the next load posted....

Some of the loads definitely double brokered.......

    Also......check their credit rating!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't deal with anyone who has a credit rating less than 95 unless it's a farmer or an apiarist...never been screwed by either.......

Good ole Miriam Webster had to be pulled off the shelf for that one... Sad thing is, I should have known that one... My Grandfather used to do that.

We have a truck sitting idle with a double drop and a B-Train. Any chance the brokers on getloaded.com will allow intrastate loads without a DOT.
