These are some of the companies that I've researched and they participate in the VA OJT program. Disclaimer: I am not advocating or recommending any of them for preferential consideration. I am simply listing them because I've done some research on them and (most times) they fit the requirements I look for in a company.

    Crete/Shaffer/Hunt Transportation,
    TMC,
    Schneider,
    Con-Way Truckload,
    Steven's Transport,
    Wil-Trans Transportation,
    Covenant Transport,
    TransAm,
    Werner

Word of advice, check directly with a company to see if they participate. A company may be listed on the VA's website but they don't participate anymore. Knight Transportation is one of those. Always double-check the info. Course, you already knew that ;)

I got ya. I went with Maverick Specialized shortly after ETSing. IF I ever had to go back OTR, they would be my first call.

Been to Ft.Cambell many times, your just up the road from me. I am glad your brother didn't have a problem with USXpress and, maybe you won't as well. When I left Schneider, I went to TMC, pulling a flatbed. They too are a good company,,ran my butt of M-F and was home every weekend. Wish you the best comrade...HOOAH!

Best bet if you qualify . http://www.qcdriver.com/PC/military.html . They accept military experience . No 1 year employment obligations . Inquire about terminal 732 - Calvert City , KY . Good people and good loads there .
Don't accept terminal 861 that is also in Calvert City .
