Four Heinekens, headphones and some good music :)
I think a lot has to do with how much you are enjoying your job.

It'll take a few months before you get use to OTR.The exhaustion will go away on it's own in due time.

When I did OTR I would have so much I wanted to get done while I was home ( and also a couple things off the honey-do list) that I was glad to go back out so I could get some rest.

I usually sleep it off when I'm on my home time it's the travel and headache you deal with along with the time zones you go through

It takes roughly one day for each week on the road to recover from OTR fatigue. You will need four nights of home sleep to feel normal.

How long have you been otr? How has your diet been? Poor diet is one of the main causes for truckers to feel like crap. We lie to ourselves and tell ourselves we are working so hard but the fact is that we are sitting on our tails most of the day and eating ourselves sick.

Try to get some exercise and try to improve your road diet and see if that doesn't improve things for you.

You feel like crap because your body is telling you "this is how we die".
Remember the saying "use it or lose it?"... Kinda like that.

If you idle your truck and never run it you might blow a line or gasket when you finally try. If you do it while pissing in the fuel tank the engine will eventually stop.
You'll have nice tires tho! Buncha spare ones.... Right around

Get caught up on sleep. First before anything.

Now when you are caught up, get out of that bed and do something preferably outside.

There are degrees of being tired and it can range from taking a 10 hour rest to even 20 hours plus and that would be fixed. Or it will take a couple days of resting in a normal routine doing things you enjoy away from that truck. You will be back in it soon enough.
