Have you ever had someone try to get you to like them? Did it work? If I am the employer, I want a driver. Old school, no nonsense, tough as nails, 'gift er dun' driver.

I have some guy come up with a CDL. I ask him about his experience pulling a certain type wagon, and he starts bragging about all the loads he bootlegged without getting caught. Admirable qualities, but he doesn't know me and yet is telling me about criminal activities. Write on the top of his application, 'Stupid'.

I have age some guy come up to me for a home. I ask him about tomorrow, but he is still crying about yesterday. I wrote on the top of his application 'Crybaby.'

I have a guy come in asking about requirements. I tell him what we require of our drivers, and he tells me about how bad New York is, the most dangerous truckstop, the toughest DOT cops, and the worst roads in the country. And where he won't go and what he won't do. I write in the top of his application 'FearMonger.'

I have a guy come in looking for a job. I ask for his license and he asks about the truck and the pay scale. I write 'Driver' on the top of his application.
