Getting truck stuck in mudd out

lol, right.. i actually don't ever use or visit facebook as my wife and i have agreed it's not a good idea, so i don't have that excuse. but you're right i should call some of my buds up, just thinking i could do it myself but that's proving to be wrong.

Ok here's some ideas I've taken from the harbor freight tools in my area online and yall's suggestions of course. the puller and snatch are pretty straight forward i think but what cable thickness to use not sure. there's also to consider the length to the nearest tree is around 100 feet. and i also have a heavy duty 20 foot chain with hooks already here at the house. any ideas on which one i should use and a possible configuration? maybe starting at the tree with the pully connected to the tree with a tow strap connected to the cable connected to the snatch connected to the hook on the front of the truck.. for the cable I'm thinking the 4 mm would be too thin so that leaves the 1/4 inch 50 ft and the 3/8" 65 foot cable, i would have to get 2 of them and tie them together somehow also which would be something I could use some ideas on also if y'all have any, i mean specific connectors that would work. also i know some have suggested use a heavy duty rope but harbor freight doesn't carry anything that duty that i've found anyways. i would be willing to go to home depot though if yall think using a rope would work. i mean i would rather have some extra heavy duty rope around the house afterwards then that cable if at all possible. well i just looked at the home depot sight and they've got a bunch more selection then harbor freight so i might just end up going there instead of harbor freight. they also have several different lengths much longer then 50ft that is. If my calculations are right i shouldn't be out more then 150 bucks after all said and done. appreciate all your suggestions there giving me lots of ideas and keeping me motivated to get her done as Larry the cable guy would say..
