Figure out the cost of moving your CDL and any car insurance and paying for the po box and finding a new Dr & dentist etc.
You might find it cheaper/easier to just keep your address or make one at your sister's cousins oldest kids place, or whatever. And just don't go home. It's not that brutal. I haven't been home since June except for an afternoon in Oct.
I spend 50-80$ a week on instacart or the grocery store, 50$ on my phone. 19$ to Geico insurance on me but no car since mine got totalled as I was going OTR and I used the insurance settlement to pay my mortgage.
No motels, no manicures, no pizza delivery, movies or casinos. I know what I want, do you? If you do...how bad do you want it?
I heard it said once a person can ensure almost anything for a big enough goal...singlescrewshaker Thanks this. -
I literally just signed up with Dakota post and switched my Cdl over Tuesday. It was easy and painless. Rolled into town Monday night and spent 42 bucks a night on a room at motel 6. Made sure they put down Dakota posts street address on the receipt instead of my old one. Left the hotel at 9:30 am went to breakfast and then over to Dakota post and signed up for the mailbox. After leaving there I went to the dmv. I had to retake the hazmat test but didn’t have to redo my background test since they were able to look that up. And by noon I was back at the hotel relaxing and was officially a South Dakota resident.88228822 and Wasted Thyme Thank this. -
Mail Forwarding Service | Address Forwarding
This is the service I use. You can sign up online i believe but if you want the residency and the driver’s license you need to show up in person at the dmv. And need to go back every five years to for renewal. -
