You have the right mindset snd being optimistic is the key to success. That 2020 Freighliner Cascadia looks good brand new. OTR Own Operator with a Lease truck payment is something I've been looking at for a while now myself but still researching the pros & cons. At the end of the days its all about setting aside multiple budgets for the Truck Lease payments, fuel expense projections, insurance payments, truck maintainment (Major & Minor budgets set aside), emergency funds along with savings. The Projection of miles per week on average from 2200 - 2500 (worse case scenrios) to 2500 to 3000 (Best case scenario). Some people never believe in a plan 'B' in case things don't workout but its never a bad thing to have it there as a personal insurance (possibly keep applying to LTL companies if things seem to be going south) for your family of ever needed. However, 'Mindset' along with the determination is the key to success so focusing on those miles will earn you a peace of mind in the long run!

Those 2020 Cascadias are pretty nice trucks. Only driven one once, but thoroughly enjoyed it.

just curious how much goes to your maintenance account out of the $1087/week?

Good luck to you and keep us updated how you’re making out...

With a brand new truck it's $135/wk of the $1087 that goes into the maintenance account. With a 1-3 year used truck it's closer to $150-170/wk depending on age and miles.

You know, I always wondered.....do LP drivers go into to maintenance account to do basic things like PMs? I would think that they would just straight up pay for those and use the maintenance account for bigger repairs
