Well, everything just got turned on its head. I was planning to go back to Schneider originally because I knew how they operated and I knew they would take care to get me up and running safely again, but I still had an open "return to work" case with their vendor First Source. In order to close it, they said First Source needed basically every record from my ENT who treated my sinus infection and did the surgery. His whole operation is super flaky, and I had no hope of them getting those records sent over in a timely manner, so I decided to look elsewhere (since I can't afford to wait weeks or months for his office staff to actually handle this).

They still haven't sent the records -- heck, they haven't even returned my phone call yet! -- but I emailed a scan of my recent DOT physical to First Source and argued that if I was medically cleared by passing a physical, then there was no need for all that other stuff. My recruiter at Schneider and the people at First Source made it sound like nothing could be done, but today they called me and cleared me to return to work based on my new physical.

So if they can get me into orientation at Schneider next week, I will be going back there instead. I was a bit worried about the noise from the reefer cooler engine disturbing my sleep anyway (and that's all Pride pulls), so pulling van will be a relief.

Good luck to you. Haven't really noticed many pumpkins around, but I don't really look for them either.
Wondering if they pull cans out of the rail transload.
