How would Swift 'make sure the drivers are paying attention to this stuff'?
Send a memo? Add a note to the load assignment? That would be about it.
Those lazy drivers might (probably would) simply ignore it anyway.

    jurupa terminal
    today didnt get any better.
on way to shipper in ontario ca busted an airhose on trailer.
air was dumping faat and truck stopped in lanes.
glad not on the freeway but was dark anyways.
dragged trailer anout 100 feet before getting it off the road.
trailer airtank bracket broke on rite side so thats what probably broke the fitting on the brake chamber.
he was able to get mr moving so i could return the trailer back to terminal.
grabbed anorher mt and finished the trip.
made for a long 11 hr day

Yard tractors don't have the power and have a hard time sliding tandems of a fully loaded trailer.

But we weren't talking about sliding the tandems, only releasing the lever to lock the pins.

    shop fixed truck pretty quick.
ended up being a fuel leak and tech said some bolts were missing.
moved my stuff back in it yesterday so i wouldnt have to do it in the dark.
needed a jump this mlrnimg when i started my clock.
had to wait half hour before mechanic showed up.
let it ran for about three hrs before i turned it off

Speaking of jumps... my truck barely started when I got back from my last home time.
A couple months ago I had them check the batteries when it was in the shop. 1 was replaced.
They would rather multiple shop times, or calling for a jump, rather than simply replace all of them when they start going bad.

When I get home next time I am going to set the opti-idle for battery mode, just to make sure I can start it when I get back.
I have it set at night when it is not cold enough to just idle, and it turns on at least once in that short amount of time.

    jurupa vallry at home.
yesterday first trip.. guard couldnt find b.o.l. so thought trailer wasnt loaded yet. i got there 0500.
she said everyone starts to show up around 0630 so come back at 0700.
message csr saying load wasnt ready yet. no response.
came back to a differant guard at p/u window.
she went and asked the office person and came back saying load was picked up yesterday.
finally got a dl to answer phone(,mine comes in around 8.).
he says pick up number was going to pheonix. mine was going to perris ca.
so he called the csr and csr messages me with the correct number.
    other 2 trips went good.
was headed backbto terminal amd my dl called and said to drop my empty and bobtail to san bernardino to recover a trailer that someone stole.
undercovet cop showed up at same time .
i think he was watching the trailer to see if someone come get it.
he had me sign a release paper and removed a tracking device he put on.
only damage was the gps unit was taken off. so hole in front of trailer.
ended up being a long day

    dwells40 Thanks this.
