TA at I-65 in Remington Indiana. What a #### load. I was in Montana when I got the Pre-Plan, and accepted it just based off mileage and time. Seemed easy enough. Then when I finished the load I was on, I looked at the route, which included a trip over US 14 in Wyoming, which is a fun little pass that hits 9000 feet, and the west side of it gets so tight at the bottom, that the only way to make it through the corners is to blindly drive into the oncoming lane, and on left turns, have the trailer squarely in the left lane. (Even with tandems forward.) Oops, lol. of course when I hit the bottom of the pass, the snow started. It took 3 hours of prayer and trying not to deficate, but I made it up and down without having to throw chains. 6" of fresh powder on top! Once I got to the shipper, it was an easy can load heading east. Absolutely beautiful, pass included. However, it being a tight time on the load, that 3 hour trip over the pass made me have to Mac 22, and re-schedule for tomorrow AM. Looks like a load out of Morris IL followed by a 34 is all I'll have time left for this week.
Back in Columbus, there are a lot of Target trailers here. Got passed by one of ours in a gray T660 like mine pulling Target reefer 880033 on I-70 westbound tonight but couldn't get them on CB.
Really? No CB? One would think that a gray 660 like yours would have it on. And, you really got the trailer number? Wow.
Go ahead, laugh it up fuzzball. I think the lack of sleep caught up with me on the way from Jonestown, had snowplows running at the terminal for hours last night.
At my dc out of all the trucks im the only company driver who has a cb, a couple of the O/O's have one but thats it. These days you just dont find a lot of drivers who have one or at least turn it on.
I've never had one, mainly because I've spent most of my time on a dedicated acct doing the same run daily. Now that I'm OTR I kind of want one. Do I just buy one and go to a cb shop to get it installed???
Back in Sunbury. Today was the load from *(&^. Got to my 2nd stop and they had to remove most of the pallets to get to their 3 last ones in the front and pulled up the bulkheads and their first pallet was tipped over so they had to restack. Then when pulling the last pallet off I could see that they were going to have a problem but have already learned with this one store, just better to keep quiet. Well, as they were pulling it off the top section fell off and everything all over the floor. So now lets pick this up and restack some more. All in all, 2.5 hours at this store. Also had to have a talk with planners today. That they need to loosen up the times on these stops. My 2nd stop today was 127 miles away and all of 2 hours and 10 mins to get there. Mind you, 120 was I-71 and coming into rush hour around Cleveland. The last 7 miles was local city traffic to get to Fairview Park. Finally got to my last stop today about 2 hours late. Only 3 more loads and vacation. Not like I am counting.
jv terminal.. last 2 days had no ross trips. so they had me move 99 series(ups rentals) from here to adelanto. did 5 trips 1st day and 3 yesterday(alot of standing around waiting for luis to decide what i was going to do). today had a ross load. so woke up and after getting coffee, did my pretrip and had 2 drive tires flat.what is the chance of that happening on same day? took tire show couple hours to fix it. lost that ross trip, so did 3 more trips moving trailers. going to work tomorrow and do about 4 trailer moves for xtra cash.
