Grand Junction, CO. Supposedly was on the dedicated gig and then all of a sudden this morning was not after being rushed to get to SLC. I was po'd and so was my DM, especially with what I lost as far as miles getting up there. Then they tried to get me to do surge for Walmart with 2 pplans out of Corrine, the first being running around SLC and then CO. That was not happening. Now picked up this one going to t-call I'm OKC and then pu in Jenks going to Phoenix for Wednesday and then staying south. Told me DM that the mgr for the cabela's account owes me one big apology, and that is not going to happen. He was even avoiding my DM's calls. Turns out that between yesterday and today they filled all of the slots, forgetting that I was on my way. Was asked if later I want it, not only no, but $^&& no

Loves in Milwaukee, planners in Morris tried to get me to deadhead 137 miles to get a load to Michigan. Now I'm waiting to see if they change my PTA just to screw with me.

Dothan, AL @ The J. Didn't even know there was a truck stop here til yesterday.

Last time I spent any time in Dothan was 1978 when I attended ATC school at nearby Ft. Rucker.

Such drama all over the country.
    Stories to tell... etc..

    Not me.
I'm in northern KY and headed to MI with a load of car or small truck engines. T-calling in New Boston.

It's funny, but my older truck that is soon to be retired seems to be pulling better on hills these days.
This 42k load feels more like 30k.

Better hope that Troy doesn't have a home game tomorrow ... if they do, get out early. Because traffic will be a pain.

    New Boston, MI.

I t-called a load today, and picked one up at the same time that is headed to IA for a Monday morning delivery.
Not many miles for the time involved, but that is OK. I'm still trying to fight off a cold I got earlier in the week and I can use some extra sleep.

    Well, you're welcome.
    My pleasure.
We must have passed at some stop, and I coughed on you.
You should be more careful in the future...
When in a truck stop - don't inhale.

My last one was around 3 years ago. That one took me out for 2 days as well.
I can work now, but this one is a bit more stubborn.
It's a good workout for my immune system, which is always a good thing.
