I had enough time for a 34 on this load as well, but we didn't want to sit in the same place that long. It will be short hop days running on recap until I take home time in Denver.
If anyone is planning on going through Louisiana on I-10, I-12 in the next few days plan again. Both are closed due to flooding; I-10 near Gonzales just south of Baton Rouge and I-12 in Baton Rouge and at exit 65 to 67, Covington. The rivers causing the flooding are expected to continue to rise over the next few days days. Louisiana DOT is recommending I-20 to cross the state. I'm headed to Laredo from Georgia and planned to stop at Frog City in Rayne tonight but that's not happening. Frank
In Avoca IA@ FlyingJ/Wings, pick up in the morning at Millard in Dennison. Then to Sandiego via 80,76,70,15.
We are in Ogden, UT at the J, still trying to get to home time in Denver. Delivered today and was finished by 1400. The pplan that came in just after I sent my mt call has me picking up tomorrow at 1500, a live load with a midnightish delivery in Cheyenne. Well, at least it is getting us closer to Denver. But we'll be a couple days late.
Strategically shut down in grand junction, at the pilot (moves my start time to 2am.) That way I roll into Vegas for my 34 at around noon. Go home sleep in my bed, rollout and deliver in San Diego. I would think they should easily be able to get you down to Denver. I've been deadheaded from SLC to Vegas before. And the regularly (pretty much everytime dead head me from LA.) I would think it would be a non issue to get you down there. Less the ref planners are just more generous.
I been going thru there every couple days....there are ways thru....adds maybe 40-60 miles.....hwy 190...or 90 if u detour a shorter distance, better then going all the way up to the 20.....going thru there tomorrow or early Friday morning
