Got a dui 5 years ago, but want to get a cdl.

I'm not sure of other states...... But in CA.....a DUI will not be purged from your MVR for 13 years (not 10 like we all believe) and that's only after you request a purge. This info came directly from a woman in the commercial driver section of DMV in sac.

I only bring this up because more and more companies are asking for an "H6" (10 year) printout.

i see SOME good companies that are saying you are ok after 7........ But just be aware that a DUI Does not automatically fall of your DMV after 10 years (at least in ca) Just an FYI

I got a dui, 8.5 years ago, was young and stupied, since then has a clean driving record, and if i go out i call a taxi, car stays put, it something i wont ever do, just curious since its been that long, i have a shot with a big outfet...

 

Shouldnt be a problem. Most places in ca want 7+ years on a DUI.
