I'm glad you did'nt take offense to what I asked because that;s all it was ,just asking. You do not need hazmat or tankers. No need right now to study more then you have to.Im currently studying for my renew hazmat and there's alot you have to know.Try to get your permit before starting school. That way that'll be one less thing to worry about.

Ok will do. I am already relieved to know I don't have to take all the other tests! I just made a 92 on the GK test here but not satisfied til I get a 100%. Then I will go on to the airbrakes test. I will probably take my test this friday before I leave for school. Thanks again!

you're very welcome. Many drivers have dropped their hazmat because of the cost and all the red tape.Only way youlll need a hazmat is if the company requires it same with tankers.I have both.My company requires tankers.Im just keeping my hazmat in case one day i find a good company that requires it.

@steppin I just received my CDL permit 2 weeks ago in Oklahoma. You only need to pass General Knowledge, Air Brakes and Combinations. IDK if it is different state-to-state but I believe that is all you need nation wide to gain your permit.

You seem like you have the right perspective on your future. Paschall may be OK, no company is perfect. After all this is the first step to get where you want to be & you seem to realize that. Best wishes.
