I was just reading various threads in the search about different topics and one came up about your driving record and companies asking if you ever had your license suspended. I honestly totally forgot i had my license suspended in my early 20s for driving without insurance. Now i turn 38 this Saturday actually would this suspension be a problem? And if asked on an app should i just say no? I'm 99% sure it was over 12 years ago at least I have to find out for sure but i know it wasn't less then 12 years.
You answer honestly, the question is (have you ever had a license suspension)? Not in the last 2, 5, years etc. You should be ok, it's been quite a while. Way better than DUI or something. Don't be one of the many sent home because you lied on your application.n Not worth that happening.
Be honest. They balance your risk against insurance thresholds that is all that matters. Since it was a while ago it won't stop anything from moving forward.
Absolutely be honest . Especially if they are large carrier, they will pull everything up on you no matter how old it is. And no it won't effect you.
Ok i just pulled up my mvr and found out my dl was suspended on 2005 for driving with a suspended registration that i believe was because i didn't have insurance. Man i forget all this stuff i'm lucky if i remember what i did last year. Anyway the driving record is for the state i'm in now. The first suspension for driving with no insurance was in another state like i said at least 12 years ago but now i think it's more like 15 or more years ago. Anyway do they check all states you had a license in or just the current state you live in?
As I said before especially if it is a large carrier they will pull it all up, every infraction you've ever for you're entire life no matter which state its from. So be honest.
Just go get a copy of your driving record from the DMV. That shouldn't hurt you since it was that long ago though,
Those are the only things on my driving record is driving without insurance. And when i did that in 2005 i did it because i didn't have money to pay for it because i lost a job. I only drove to look for work and the first paycheck i was going to get insurance and you know what happened? I was actually just leaving a job interview and a cop randomly ran my plate and pulled me over! Up here there is no way to live without a car. No buses or cabs to get you places because its rural suburbs and everything is spread out. Most of the area doesn't even have sidewalks. Anyway since this is just financial responsibility stuff and over 10 years i don't think it will be an issue. It won't cost them more to insure me because my insurance is not high for my personal vehicle.
You remember why you did what u did that was illegal butt did not know u were suspended. Starting to look real bad for u
