I've been with A&R for about 18 months and I like the job way more than anything I did prior to bulk. The terminal manager and dispatchers have been very accommodating since I've had a few things come up that interrupted my normal schedule, no questions asked. I usually run local/regional Monday then run long the rest of the week. Most weekends I'm home on Friday evening or Saturday mid day. I've spent three weekends where I couldn't get back due to my 70 hour clock expiring, no pay given for those. If you work hard the money is there. I made their average annual salary in my first year with a couple of weak months at the beginning. Be forewarned, its hard work and it takes time to build your skills up.
