Im not defending either company, but In hindsight, a big number of those drivers will most likely integrate and adapt to one of the other various ATS outfits. In all reality, they are lucky ATS even stepped in an offered them something. Seen to many places fold up and leave all the guys hanging with no notice. Falcon comes to mind, that was terrible.
A recruiter from another company offered his company's information to the ATS Recruiting team based upon the COO's quote "“If ATS is not a fit for you, we will help you transition your employment and turn in your equipment before August 1” and the email was not met with cordiality... basically confirming that ATS wants all the drivers to stick with them in other capacities (AKA: Can't find enough people to hire on under their business/pay model) and aren't actually looking to assist in their transition elsewhere. Oh, well... lucky for the MS drivers that Valley Transportation Services is only 30 miles down the street and is also a heavy haul / specialized carrier, so its not like they are going to stick around, especially in the numbers ATS want.
What company sent that email? I'm currently leased to Midwest (own my truck) pulling RGN, and I'm not impressed with what ATS is offering, and quite frankly, very put off by how they handled things - it's much worse than just that email. I've checked out the Valley website, and while the % is a little better, there seem to be a lot of monthly fees
I can't name the company out in the open, but if you research in the jobs forum here, you will find that company named in a post authored by me. *wink*
