Guess I need to give up my dream of getting my CDL

    Wouldn’t it be easier to go to school, sponsored or not, suck up your first year, then rent a tractor for a day to test out in a manual?
    This way you won’t be broke and you can get your super trucker gear in 12 months..

    Take out a loan. Go to community college. Get CDL in a month or two. Work. Pay back loan.

    Do you know how to read? I’m going to guess no, I’ve already stated this countless times, If I’m already paying the $5k for school, I should get a CDL that has NO restrictions

    And how am I supposed to rent a manual tractor with a CDL that says I can’t drive a ####ing manual? I’m supposed to find someone to take time off work that they need to pay their bills to go with me? How is that easier than training me on a manual in the first place? And not only am I paying the $5k for the school, I get to spend more time and money to go take the test again, how is that logical?

    Did you check out getting a grant with your career center? It takes time but you can get funding from your state to take vocational classes. That's how I got my CDL. I only had to get a loan for 1900. If you can go that route by getting most of it funded up front, you can get a loan for classes.

    I did look into this, there’s a trade school not far from me, they have a scholarship that’s worth $2k, leaving me to find a way to come up with 3,000, I think if I don’t go to TMC for training this might be my next move

    This guy clearly doesnt want a cdl. Everyone has given great advice and at each turn he has some lousy excuse. Getting an auto restriction. And getting hired on is easy. He can save $$ and rent a truck and retest to get it removed. Easy enough. Someone mentioned that previously and he still had a poor excuse. I think he just wants attention at this point. Everyone gave him a jew angle to acquire his cdl after every excuse he gave and he found another excuse. You guys have fun with this.
