830FBD1C-4040-45BF-A971-399C1900DFB1.png Schneider is having a hiring event tomorrow at the terminal in Coraopolis. If the weather hasn’t turned you can go and talk to the recruiter.

You have to get the schooling first. Did you ask about their training and not wanting the auto exemption?

Here's one, but I sure wouldn't do it:
    Driver Trainee/Helper
    Coca-Cola - Pittsburgh, PA
Valid Class A Driver's Permit and driving record within MVR policy guidelines required.
ABARTA Coca-Cola Beverages LLC is now hiring a Driver Trainee/Driver Helper for our Pittsburgh territory, (Houston DC).
We’re seeking candidates with a clean safe driving record that want to acquire their CDL A license and get paid to train to become a Driver Merchandiser. We offer local routes so you’re home daily as well as competitive wages, excellent benefits and growth potential

I did not, once they told me they don’t do cdl training that was the end of that conversation

I applied but never heard back, I got turned down for 3 jobs that trained for a cdl because a cdl driver applied too

    Chinatown Thanks this.

There are many roads to get there. Don't give up just be diligent & determined. I would get my cdl & worry about the restriction later. If you haven't been paying attention to the automotive industry manual transmission are on their way out. The technology has got better and is getting better. Stay the course you will be fine & get your cdl. I hope all goes well for you

There are no laws that govern training truck drivers. Its perfectly legal to acquire a CDL and hit the road with no training at all, so long as you pass the test.
