    Is this a trick question or what ?

    I said smoking in the truck....of course I failed. Got 16 days till renewal time :)

    Your answer was definitely right. Can't smoke while transporting any of those.

    Cigarettes don't have a flashpoint strong enough to cause a fire on accident where a heater can.

    actually I believe the rule is 25 feet from the cargo....me methinks that includes the cab...I can see how the OP fell for it

    It's a trick question. You can smoke while transporting those materials. You just can't do it within 25 feet of the cargo.

    No if your sitting 8n the cab your maybe 10' from the cargo, I was tickèted for smoking in the cab with class 3 placards on the trailer this was back in the 80's but that law hasn't changed

    I am guessing they don't Outlaw smoking in the cab because you could have a stretched-out frame on your tractor...or the hazardous material could be way back in the back of the trailer...so technically you could be outside the 25-foot rule
