It's not one in the list. I just wanted to make sure before applying and wasting my money. It's deferred adjudication aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. It was me crashing my car into a pole in a parking lot without actually hitting anyone.

I was very drunk at a bar, passed out inside, they threw me out and chased me around the parking lot. They kept my cellphone. After I got in my car they kept hassling me until I drove and then I started wrecking into stuff

    REO6205 Thanks this.

Do you realize that if you tell a job interviewer that story that they will probably smile, say thankyou for stopping by, and round file your application?

I don't understand what you want to hear.

    You said ...
SO I answered, the first thing is - you need to talk to a lawyer to get this all straight, I don't think they explained it to you well enough.

My reply is based on what you said, in the above quote and it fits into I said before about how NY does it. Depending on the state (you never said what state it is), it is called one of a few terms; deferred adjudication, adjournment in contemplation of dismissal probation before judgment, or deferred entry of judgment. All of this still means you can be convicted if you don't fulfill the court's stipulations and until it is final, you still have a charge against you.

I suggest you talk to your lawyer, who most likely didn't do his/her job if the circumstances are accurate by having the charges dismissed or the reduced charges. I assume there is a hell of a lot more to the story.

Why didn't you get an OWI or a DWI? <- no need to answer, that's a rhetorical question.

If you read the second part of the disqualifiers, it lists Assault with Intent to Kill, this could come back on you, as your Felony Aggravated Assault may fall into this category.

There are a lot of gray on the TSA disqualifiers, I have a felony that isn't listed and is not a disqualifier, BUT, time before last when I applied, they did contact me for further information, when I spoke with them about it, I pointed out that I'd had HAZMAT clearance for 20+ yrs, but they said the TWIC addition changed the game for disqualifiers.
