LOL I hear ya brother! He does sometimes give confusing directions and gets hyped up if you don't understand. He is a good guy and does have alot of knowlege. I like Brian too. He gives me advice on the side that really helps. I wish they would actually switch them back and forth. Getting differant points of view iS helpful for me. But I see how that could get confusing too. Joe is funny though!

Joe is a bit of hot head sometimes. Don't mean he is gonna beat you, but he gets very excited. Lol. Brian was very cool. Spent more time in the classroom with him tho. We only had 3 and it made for a nice class.

I think having two different training views can be a good thing, but if they aren't the same a newbie could get sucked into differing expectations that can be confusing. They still got joe in truck 2468? Does the seat work right now? I made them let me test in Brian's truck because the seat made me uncomfortable because I couldn't adjust it enough. Lol. They weren't gonna but when I said, "if I fail because of the seat its not my fault." Lol

Learning to back can be a real challenge!! I learned on sheet ice in Feb and believe me, that trailor has a mind of it's own!!! Ask if anyone knows how to teach the "S" method for setups. Variations on this method will let you set up properly for almost all close quarters backing situations.

Backing is simple, practice, practice, practice... The more you do it the easier it gets. You will always have days when the trailer doesn't want to do what you want it to, but that is normal. Take advantage of all the backing practice you can get in school, and while you are with your trainer. It will pay off when you are at that tight dock, or the Flying J trying to get into a tight spot.

Joe teaches the lazy s method when you have to do a corrective pullup. We practiced backing today from 7am till 12. I got to back a total of seven times. I did five zero point backups. Only one pullup each time. I did a one pointer, and I only had one where I went a bit past 90 degrees and had three corrective pullups, so would have been two points off. Not bad. I was happy with it. One of my zero points off backups was in front of the class that started this week. I had an audience of four people plus all of our guys with Joe. I could hear Joe explaining to them what I was doing and why. I was sooo happy I nailed it. I kept hearing in my head Joe telling them "this is an example of what NOT to do. LOL.

We got out at noon and headed to Walmart for my, hopefully last week of groceries. I have been spending 40-50 bucks a week. I did some laundry next door to the motel. I went over to Culvers and got a burger while my clothes were drying. Yum!!! I don't know where, I think the gas station earlier, but I got change back for a twenty on a ten dollar bill, and I think the girl gave me an extra dollar back at Culvers. They forgot the bacon on my burger so no guilt. lol.

So I did all my homework for the weekend last night, got my groceries for the week, and I did my laundry. Nothing to do for the rest of the weekend! Woohoo!!! I got a little, cough, grape juice and am watching the American Little Leauge World Series championship game right now. I am going to destress from the week and enjoy a little nothingto do. LOL Peace out till Monday all. Stay safe!!!
