Hello to all: What would you do?

i would probably go back to any of the LTL companies and work daytime peddle.

This way you have more time to do other things. Not to mention your sleep schedule actually becomes pretty normal and you usually have good benefits. And weekends usually off. Not late saturday to sunday night, but friday night until monday morning.

Closest thing to a "normal" job in trucking in my opinion.

 

First, you have to be an owner-op. With Landstar, you don't take loads from a dispatcher, you choose them from a loadboard. You set up a profile with parameters like min $ per mile Preferred destination,(etc) and you get alerts sent to your phone when loads fitting those parameters are sent to the loadboard. You get paid a percentage of the load.

To qualify you must have one year OTR which must include a winter season on snow and ice and squeaky clean record. The qualification and hiring process is arduous but based on my research subsequent to my conversation, if you are capable of managing a business it appears rewarding.
