Just to respond when and IF a trainee was given to me I WAS THEIR LAST CHANCE PERIOD. I was given the authority by the Personal Director Saftey Manger and Operations Manager to make that call to put a trainee off the truck. Here were some of the trainee I ended up with try having one that thought he could run over cars HE DID NOT EVEN MAKE IT OUT OF THE YARD. Another would run 500 miles and stop whereever he was and claim he was done for the day regardless of how many miles we had left to run in that trip. BTW when I got them they had been in the training program for 2 months already. Try having one that even after working with him on backing up he did all of it that was the only thing he was with me for was he could not back he could drive down the road just could not back one up he crunched the hood in our yard of a brand new truck. I hated when I had to flunk one however I had to do what waqs best for the saftey of the motoring public and the company and also the drivers these people would have been teamed with.

One company I've looked at wants you to drive with a trainer for 4 mos. This seems to be nothing more than "indentured servitude" back again. Team diving cloaked as a training program. :biggrin_25526:
